Heritage Christian School is governed by the Iowa City Area Christian School Association (ICACSA). While many interpret this as a conglomeration of schools of which Heritage is a part, this is actually the incorporated name of Heritage Christian School. The “Association” is actually a dedicated group of people, most of whom are the parents of Heritage students, who sign and support the association’s statement of faith and pay annual dues of $5. From within the ICACSA, two or three people are elected to serve on the Board of Directors each year. The Board is accountable to the rest of the Association for the oversight of the school, providing updates and pursuing feedback during three ICACSA meetings. The Board is responsible for oversight of school operations and setting school policy.
