As the number of families served at Heritage continues to grow, the needs equally grow. If you would like to help the school accomplish its mission serving families, consider donating to help us purchase one or more of the items listed below.
- Three commercial picnic tables - $2,000 - There is a large, grassy area that borders the school's gymnasium that is perfectly located for families who want to mingle on nice days, either after morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up. The relationships that develop between parents, and between children, are very important to us. Having a place for parents to sit and chat as their children play would enhance the use of that space.
- Four in-class projectors – $3,000 - With the amount of quality information available on-line and the effectiveness of projecting computer images as a teaching tool, permanently installed video projectors in classroom would be a tremendous asset for Heritage teachers.
- Additional bike racks and cement pad - $1,200 - Having the new school strategically embedded within the town of North Liberty, the number of students (and teachers) who chose to ride bicycles to school has increased dramatically - so much so that there is high demand for a "parking space" at the lone bike rack near the gym. We are in desparate need to at least double the bike parking.
- Computer / Technology - $10,000 - Technology is ever changing and Heritage's abililty to stay on top of those changes is heavilty dependent on loyal donors. Heritage has an intensive technology plan that requires substantial support
- Defibrillator - $2,500 - Heritage had a close call within the family during the 2010-2011 school year where ready access to a defibrillator saved the life of someone we care for very much. This event brought to light how important it is to have emergency equipment close at hand.
These needs are above and beyond our normal general budget.
