Operation G.O.O.D. 2018 Service Project

During April and May, our students collected pledges for our annual Operation G.O.O.D. fundraiser and raised $45,248.26. On Friday, May 11th, our students participated in the service project portion of the fundraiser. Our Pre-K students took part in a canned food drive in our neighborhood and collected 53 cans to bring to the North Liberty Food Pantry. Our kindergarten through 3rd graders worked with the Army Corps of Engineers pulling 1600 pounds of invasive garlic mustard, which translates to an estimated 8.4 million seeds removed from the ecosystem at Squire Point. The 4th-8th graders teamed up with the city of North Liberty working at the North Liberty Food Pantry and at 3 city parks spreading 100 cubic feet of mulch around 350 trees. Praise God for the generous contributions of family and friends as well as the opportunity to serve our community in this way!
